Kevin Carrozzo / About the artist:
Nato a Zurigo nel 1998 da padre fiorentino e madre ticinese, Carrozzo è cresciuto a Lugano dove si è diplomato al CSIA. A 15 anni ha mosso i primi passi nel mondo dell’arte sperimentando con la fotografia per poi approdare al disegno e alla pittura nel tardo 2017. In poco tempo è riuscito a distinguersi nella scena artistica ticinese con opere esposte al Morel, al Lido San Domenico e al container di Lugano Bella. Alcuni suoi lavori sono stati recentemente presentati in Cina, all’Hangzhou Cultural and Creative Industry Expo.
Il giovane Kevin ha un passato di gabbie geometriche, montagne squadrate e soli senza raggi. Dalla scorsa estate (2020) il suo lavoro è più fluido ed esplora i gesti umani.
Born in Zürich, raised in the street of Lugano and graduated from this city's art school CSIA, Kevin started working with photography only to switch to painting in 2017. He stuns between the local artists, exhibited his work in several cultural venues and co-worked with Sir Taki to the second version on his work Ella Santoro, posted on the streetside of our pop-up shop on the lakeside during Summer 2019. Recently some of his recent paintings have been sold at the Hangzhou Cultural and Creative Industry Expo.
In his early work Kevin explored geometrical cages, square mountains and suns without rays. Since last Summer his work has become more fluid and explores humas gestures.
